This natural setting, of course, comes with a trade-off; you must first go... read more to the island of Flores (park your car on the street --- don't worry about leaving it overnight, it's a safe town), take a ferry with Umberto across to San Miguel, and then a tuk tuk up to the property. But it's worth it for the setting.

The amenities in the shipping container were great --- we loved cooking dinner and enjoying it outside at the picnic table under the fairy lights with the sounds of the night time jungle chorus all around us. Note, the picnic table is a shared space so there are some rules of common use, but this was never an issue for us. And while it can get warm in the shipping container, if you open the windows and turn on the fan, it's not an issue.

Umberto was very friendly and easily accessible if you had a question.

Certainly a cool choice with a clear eco-conscious design.
